The Easter Cherokee's
The Cherokees original settlement was in North
Carolina living a peaceful and normal life for them. Semi- permanent villages
where being built all around the 8,000 B.C., for the next 1,000 years
laws, religion, agriculture, and various other moralities arised. But soon after
the settlers came the Cherokee's found difficult coexisting, therefor they left
leading to The Trails of Tears. Although not all left some decided to continue
there everyday along with the settlers, they became known as the Eastern Indian
Cherokee's.
The Eastern Indian Cherokee's where excellent at adopting
their own government using the executive branches. All of which is managed by
principle and the vice chief, their government was funded by casinos and
federal funds. Cherokee language consist of Kituhwa as there primary tongue and
English as their secondary, Kituhwa is a dialect. Because of children removal of
Tsalagi homes the language became extinct, therefor Cherokee superior enforced
that children attended native school in order to bring the language back. The
law has proven correct and the number in speakers has increased.
The
Cherokee's where efficient in hunting and cultivation, there use of bow and
arrows proved to be an ideal weapon when killing deer. While the men fished and
hunted, the women planted the field, a job various Europeans saw as more
stressing then fishing and hunting.
they grew what they called the Three
Sisters which was beans, corn and squash, they inter- planting cross to cut down
on weeding, there was medical based herbs but that was prior to the arrival of
the Europeans. The land provided all there needs and every morning they would
wake up to give thanks for that. The Cherokees had a good relationship with the
Europeans, but never a good one with the U.S. government.

ReplyDeleteYour blog had a few grammatical errors in the uasge of "there" and "where", but can be fixed easily. You mentioned the kituwa dialect, I suggest you explain the term "dialect" within your blog. Your map of the journey of the Trail of Tears brought the distance into a real context, making your blog easier to understand and visualize. :)
Well, m'am you should write like this a lot more often when you venture into expository text. The words really flowed well, and I your visual aid really helped. The Cherokee Nation is a big part of American history so it was cool that you wrote about them.
